We must "cap" the hole with the other Terrain Feature set at zero height so that when perspective cameras are used we don't see a big hole. What this does is "dig" a hole under the building and pattern the sides of the hole with Earth. Set the Materials Terrain Feature to be Earth. and then set it's Height to be minus 6000mm / 20 ft (or sufficent to go down from building pad height to terrain zero). Now select the second "Bottom" polyline and convert it to a Terrain Feature. Set it's Materials to be the same as the rest of the Terrain (usually Grass). Select the first "Top" polyline and convert it to a Terrain Feature set to zero height. This is simply to make management / selection a bit easier. Select the copy and change it's LineStyle Layer to be on the other newly named Layer. Select the polyline, and copy it over itself. Make the first layer active, then place a CAD Rectangular Polyline in the plan to be just a bit larger than the extents you will use for Cross Section drawings. In Plan, name two unused User Layers call one "Earth Section Top" and the other "Earth Section Bottom" or something that appeals to you. After a bit of experimentation, here's a kludge tip for generating Section cut terrain:
